Tribals Of India

We Rajashekhar Gnanesh and Ananya Bhat come from a traditional family of Mysuru and Udupi – the city of temples – in Karnataka. From our childhood, we have had very strong inclination towards our origin people, studying about tribal folk art, culture, traditions lifestyle etc and ancient hisotry, sacred texts, culture and traditions of our country which made us to travel across the length and breadth of the country since 4 years along with our studies.

In this process we have had the good fortune of meeting and interacting with tribal people from various regions in our country. we have also had the privilege of receiving spiritual knowledge and being able to learn the core values of Sanatan Dharma through the people living in forest keeping their traditions safe till today.

During our journeys, we realized that no one is aware of tribes especially the young youth were also not aware of or were indifferent to tribal traditions. we thus embarked upon a mission to spread ,showcase and disseminate beauty and actual information about various facets of tribal traditions practiced across the nation, this thought provoked us to start a magazine devoted to Tribal people, nature worship, diety, lifestyle, medicine, Art and culture etc… in the country as well as those in other places.

The result is the“ TRIBES of INDIA – A Journey with Tribes” – the only English magazine on Tribes – a magazine completely dedicated to Tribes and this is the first ever initiative in India, devoted to only tribal people and their Ancient rituals and associated history and arts. We found there is still a lack of awareness about Tribal culture and traditions of the tribal people. Therefore we intend to publish a magazine devoted to the tribes of India. Towards this end , a new and unique magazine called TRIBES OF INDIA- A journey with tribes has already being registered Title with RNI, Under Information bureau , Govt of India. This will be the first of its kind of magazine in India that would be dedicated to tribal people of India

India and our people are very fortunate to have Tribal women as our President in which tribal women who has been respected as the first citizen of our country in history of Indian Politics. This is also best moment to expose our tribes to the globe in which we can shine our culture and tribes. We look forward to do research, work more on welfare of tribal community.

The health and education of the indigenous children is a large part of our projects and therefore we started the Tribes of India with an intention to build a chain of 10 libraries across north eastern indigenous villages. A lot of tribal families also got her helping hand through their hard times of pandemic. While working constantly in several remote places we often felt the need to be more focused on these special groups of people who are deprived of all sorts of conveniences and therefore we made up our mind to establish the magazine and foundation, Tribes of India to bring those back who are secluded from civilization. We have further planned to take it forward and start pilot projects such as smart tribal villages, introduction of smart schools, smart learning kits, solar intervention, digitized banks and ATMs to take these underprivileged groups a step ahead in the world of digitalisation.
